George Washington Littlefield, born June 21, 1842 and died November 10, 1920, owned cotton plantation in Gonzales, Texas. Benjamin Franklin Terry organized and served as first commander of The Eighth Texas Cavalry, a group of Texas volunteers for the Confederate Army, popularly known as Terry's Texas Rangers, in August of 1861.
